  How to Find Peace in a World Full of Anxiety In a world that moves faster every day — filled with noise, demands, and constant pressures — peace can feel like a distant dream. Anxiety often creeps in quietly, wrapping itself around our hearts before we even realize it. But here’s the good news: God offers a peace that no storm can steal. Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." (John 14:27, NIV) This peace isn’t found in the absence of problems. It’s found in the presence of God. 1. Shift Your Focus Anxiety grows when we fix our eyes on our problems. Peace grows when we fix our eyes on God. Isaiah 26:3 reminds us: "You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you."  (NLT) The more we stare at the storm, the bigger it seems.   Reflection on 2 Kings 20:5: "I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you." In 2 Kings 20:5, we encounter a deeply personal moment between God and King Hezekiah. After being told by the prophet Isaiah that he would die, Hezekiah turns to God in prayer, pouring out his heart with sincere tears. God responds with compassion, saying, “I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you.” This powerful verse reveals a God who listens to His people, who sees their pain, and who responds with mercy and healing. The first thing to note is that God not only hears our prayers, but He also sees our tears. It’s easy to think that our prayers are just words spoken into the air, or that God is distant from our suffering. But this verse assures us that God is attentive to both our spoken and unspoken cries. He knows our struggles, our heartaches, and the silent battles we face.
